May 13,2008September tour dates for Germany have been added!
May 1,2008Today Tony, Han and Michel will kick off their May Tour Dates in De Tierelier in St. Michielsgestel. Show starts at 17.00 hrs. They will only do 3 shows in Holland, because the band is planning on using their short time together in writing and recording material for a new album. The tentative release date will be mid 2009. However, Tony will come back in September for a longer period to do shows not only in Holland, but also Germany and Austria. Stay tuned!
April 30,2008The first tour dates of Steve Lukather's "Ever Changing Times World Tour" have been posted. The tour on which Steve will be escorted by: Tony Spinner (guitars, vocals), Steve Weingart (keys), Carlitos Del Puerto (bass, vocals) and Eric Valentine (drums, vocals) will start on June 20th in Soendborg, Denmark. More dates will be added, so stay tuned!
April 11,2008On May 3, 2008 Tony & Band will play P3 in Purmerend. Check the tour dates section for more details.
March 31,2008Tony will come to Holland in May to do a short Dutch tour as well as to record some new material. The first two May gigs have been announced on the tour dates section. After the May Tour Tony will be on the road with Steve Lukather's band to promote his latest album "Ever Changing Times". This will take him to places in Europe, The Far East and the USA. In between those tour legs Tony will come back to Europe in September to do gigs with his own band. Stay tuned, more news to follow soon!

January 14,2008Tony Spinner will appear on the upcoming album of friend and guitarist Sonny Hunt. The album is called The Nashville Blues Sessions and will be released mid January 2008. The album will feature Dutch musicians Dick Stam (vocals and bass) and Han Neijenhuis on drums as well as new Dutch discovery, the young and talented guitarist Rory de Kievit. Both Tony and Rory will contribute on two songs. Sonny Hunt & The Dirty White Boys will do a short tour in The Netherlands starting Friday, January 18th. October 2,2007Tony’s drummer, Han Neijenhuis, has joined the Dutch band called the Dirty White Boys which – for the upcoming January 2008 tour - also features Tony’s long time friend and fabulous guitar player Sonny Hunt on guitar. Last week Dick Stam (DWB bass player) and Han went to Nashville to record the forthcoming Sonny Hunt / DWB album which is set for an early 2008 release. The guys are all very excited about this project and are looking forward to the upcoming Dutch promo Tour. Confirmed tour dates will be posted on this website soon. For the latest info on Sonny Hunt and DWB please visit http://www.sonnyhunt.com/. This move doesn’t mean Han will leave the TSB. Han will keep on playing the drums when Tony is touring Europe.
September 19,2007Tony’s fifth new cd “ Live in Europe” is finally released and can be purchased. It was recorded on two different locations: the Blues Garage in Hannover, Germany and the WOS “Live Alive” Radio Show in Holland. The line-up is Tony Spinner (guitars/vocals), Han Neijenhuis (drums) and Michel Mulder (bass) and the album is produced by Joe Romagnola of Grooveyard Records. Song Titles are:

August 16,2007On December 9, Tony and his band will play at a special Blues Concert in De Boerderij situated in Zoetermeer, Holland. July 3,2007The Blues Garage in Hannover, Germany has a tradition of releasing a compilation cd once a year filled with songs of musicians who played in their club during that year. The 2007 cd called “Absolutely Live – Blues Garage” contains Tony’s song “Bourbon And A Fast Car”. It was recorded on April 8, 2006 when Tony and his band did an awesome show for an enthusiastic crowd. The band will do a 40 minutes performance and there will be an interview with Tony. November 8,2006Sonny Hunt, who played with Tony for quite some time and who accompanied him on four of his Dutch tours will come to Holland to do a 2 week tour. The band will consist of Sonny Hunt on guitar and vocals and “Dirty White Boys” guys Dick Stam (bass and lead vocals) & Thomas Vermeulen (drums). October 11,2006This month Tony’s bass player, Michel Mulder, will be touring with blues rock guitarist Wolf Mail. The trip will take them through several countries in Europe and it also includes one show in The Netherlands on October 15th, (Wilhelmina, Eindhoven). I've been so busy with the Toto's that I haven't kept my own sight up to date.  I apologize!!! Well, here's what I have planned for the near future.....
 
We will release a live bootleg c.d. which documents my first gig in Germany with my own band.  It's a very good recording that captures a great night with tons of improvisation and jamming.  If you've seen us live before, you know what I'm talkin' about!
 
Next, we are working on a d.v.d. with live footage, backstage stuff, on the road things, interviews etc.....
 
Also,  I am writing songs for the next c.d. to be released in 2007.
 
I want to thank everyone who supports the band and leaves messages in the guest book.  I read it every week.  We appreciate your interest and love to hear your feedback!

March 30,2006The Tony Spinner Band kicked off their European tour last night at the Café De Kamer in Oss with a great setlist in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Prior to this performance Tony did a clinic at the Music School Muzelinck in Oss. After the introduction, Tony explained his view on music, the music business in general and how he started and educated himself. Then a lot of students joined him on stage to jam along on a couple of songs which was big fun for everybody who attended the clinic! Don’t forget to submit your reviews of all the upcoming shows. January 24,2006Since November 2005 there has been a change in the Dutch rhythm section. Bass player Pascal Groenen left the band for personal reasons. We wish Pascal all the best in his further career and thank him for his dedicated support whilst he was with the band. In his place Tony brought on board Michel Mulder. He is known for his work with John Hayes, Rich Wyman, Sue Chaloner Soul Train and many more. You can read it all in his bio on the band section. Tony is extremely happy to have found such a great replacement. We want to wish Michel a lot of fun and success with this band!

This great Dutch blues/rock band with impressive leading lady Floor Kraaijvanger, one of the best female singers in the Dutch rock scene, will be doing a couple of shows in January and February. November 5,2005The Tony Spinner Band kicked off their Benelux tour last night at Scooters in Drachten for a great crowd. On this tour Tony will be accompanied in Holland by Han Neijenhuis on drums and Michel Mulder on bass. Aaldert van Weelden will play the bass at the Belgium gigs.

October 12,2005While Tony was in Holland last August to do some festivals, he had a day off on August 26. His friend Dick Stam - who's also his driver during his Dutch tours - was playing that night in Ede with his band called Captain Heartbeat. Besides the guitar clinic at the Gitaar Instituut Friesland in Leeuwarden on November 23, Tony also has plans to do another clinic. This will probably take place in Rijswijk. More details to be followed soon.

Due to circumstances the Alessi Brothers are not able to come to Holland and after careful consideration it has been decided to cancel the whole show. Tony and the band apologize for any inconvenience but hope to see you all at the other gigs!

April 1,2005Tony and his band will appear in the Dutch Radio Show called Schiffers FM. It will be aired on Tuesday, April 5 on AVRO Radio 2 at 15.00 hrs local time. Besides an interview several cuts from Chicks and Guitars will also get an airing.
March 24,2005Tony Spinner will appear on the radio rock show called Cracks of the local Dutch Station Alphen Stad FM. It will be broadcast live on Tuesday April 5 between 19.00 – 20.00 local time. Tony will do some acoustic songs of Chicks and Guitars as well as an interview. March 5,2005The Tony Spinner Band will appear in the Dutch Radio Show called TROS MUZIEKCAFE. This show will be broadcast live on Saturday, April 2nd on Radio 2 and the band will perform between 16.00 - 17.00 local time. They will play 3 songs and there will also be an interview with Tony. It's a live show and played for a studio audience and if you want to be a part of this, you're more than welcome. It's a free entrance and the Studiocafe will be open at 14.00 local time. Location: Studio Plantage, Plantage Kerklaan 36, Amsterdam (next to Artis Zoo).

December 15,2004Thanks to everyone who participated in the Interview Competition. We received a lot of good questions, so it was a tough decision for the band to make. Eventually, they have drawn 2 winners who will receive the new Chicks and Guitar CD (release date will probably be January/February 2005) and they are:
  1. Deena Du Bois from Brussels, Belgium. Question: Which song do you wish you had written?
  2. Bart Holwerda from Drachten, The Netherlands. Thank you for coming up with so many questions! The band particularly liked: How difficult is it to do all your best, but never get the (media) attention and succes you would (probably) like and deserve?

November 27,2004This November Tony has been recording the upcoming "Chicks and Guitars" CD. Tony: "Here are a few photos from the studio in Nashville where I recorded the new c.d. They will be mixing it in the next few weeks and I hope to have it out soon"! So stay tuned.

November 8,2004Work on the upcoming "Chicks and Guitars" CD is still in progress. Tony is leaving for Nashville this week to work on the record. The release date (originally scheduled for a late 2004 release) may be pushed back until early 2005. Stay tuned for more details on how to order as well as a comprehensive feature on the actual release.
Just to keep you updated, we are in the final stages of the interview and hope to publish it on the website by the end of this week and also announce the lucky winners of the interview competition.

June 7,2004The title of the new album - which is planned for release this fall - will be Chicks and Guitars. Tony writes: "It has a funny cover, 2 little new born chicks standing on my guitar! We have a lot of new animals right now".
